Orwak Norge integrated in TOMRA

Orwak’s Norwegian distributor, Orwak Norge AS, was integrated into Tomra Butikksystemer on June 1, 2011. The company Orwak Norge has been representing Orwak in Norway since 1991 and has made a valuable contribution over the years in marketing Orwak and establishing a strong position for Orwak’s products primarily in the manufacturing industry and the shipping & offshore segment on this market.

On February 1, 2011 Orwak acquired Orwak Norge. The acquisition and integration (into Tomra Butikksystemer) are based on a strategic decision to develop sales further and to expand into the food retail segment.  This spring, the cooperation with TBS Butikksystemer has already presented a significant enhancement of the sales of Orwak’s products in the food retail area. Another recent success in this field was when Vinmonopolet (the state-controlled company for sales of wines and spirits in Norway) decided to renew their contract with Orwak Norge for the next 2 years (can be extended with another 2 years).

The devoted Orwak-team Svein Hagen and Unni Braathen will stay on and continue their great work for the company and Idar Haslerud, Key Account Manager within Tomra Butikksystemer, will dedicate majority of his time to take Orwak Norge in its new direction.
